Eversheds won ‘International Labour and Employment Firm of the Year’ at the China Law and Practice awards in Beijing.
The awards, held at the Beijing Park Hyatt on Thursday 21 September, brought together over 200 guests from the largest international and Chinese firms to celebrate achievements across a range of categories.
Eversheds was shortlisted for the employment award alongside Baker & McKenzie, DLA Piper, Herbert Smith Freehills and Simmons and Simmons. The team won the award as recognition of their track record of continuously working on the most high-profile and significant matters in the sector over the past 12 months.
Jennifer Van Dale, head of employment at Eversheds Asia commented:
“I accepted the award on behalf of the team, including Jack Cai and his group in Shanghai. They have been very active over the past year, working alongside the Hong Kong team on a number of highly sensitive, strategic matters for multinational clients operating in China. Their support was a crucial factor in Eversheds winning this award.”
Stephen Kitts, managing partner of Eversheds Asia, added:
"We are very proud to be named ‘Labour and Employment Firm of the Year’. This award is further recognition of Eversheds' expansion in China, and Asia, and sits alongside the other awards we have won this year including ‘Visionary Firm of the Year’. My congratulations go to Jennifer and her team. It reflects their hard work and dedication. A great team effort.”
