Eversheds appoints Pinsent Masons partner Andy Phillips to its market leading Manchester corporate team.
Recognised by Chambers and Partners for his practice and well known in the North West corporate finance community generally as a high quality private equity lawyer, Andy has particular experience and expertise advising PE institutions and management teams and sellers on management buy-outs, exits and private company M&A within a range of sectors.
Andy Phillips, who is expected to join Eversheds’ Manchester office in early 2017, will lead the Eversheds private equity group in the North West.
Ranked in the top tier by both Chambers and Partners and Legal 500, Eversheds’ Manchester-based corporate team is highly regarded. It was recently voted Law Firm of the Year 2016 at Insider’s North West Dealmaker Awards and was named Corporate Team of the Year at the last Manchester Legal Awards.
Simon Masters, Eversheds corporate head for Manchester, commented:
“We have taken our time and been very careful in selecting the right person to lead our private equity team in Manchester. I know we have the right person in Andy and the team is delighted to welcome him. I believe the market will instantly recognise the strength of this appointment and will acknowledge that Andy working from the Eversheds platform will add a powerful extra dimension to private equity advice in the region.”
