    Eversheds Sutherland appoints partner to lead litigation team

    Eversheds Sutherland has announced the appointment of Yuri Wehrmeijer to the Litigation and Dispute Management team in the Netherlands. He will join as a partner and lead the global legal practice’s litigation offering in the region.

    Yuri was previously a prominent member of the Litigation group at Dutch law firm Houthoff. He has extensive corporate litigation experience having handled a number of large and complex cases for domestic and international clients.

    Yuri will be joined by Associate Lennart Baijer to expand the global legal practice’s litigation offering in the region. They will both be based in the Rotterdam office.

    Earlier this year, Eversheds Sutherland announced its acquisition of Dutch firm Eversheds Sutherland B.V strengthening its presence in the market. Last month the global legal practice welcomed pensions heavyweight Eric Bergamin as head of the Netherlands pensions practice and acquired Eric’s pensions advisory firm Bergamin Pensioenrechtadvies BV. It also appointed lateral Partner Natascha Geraedts to its real estate team.
