Eversheds Sutherland appointed as sole adviser for Dyson
Eversheds Sutherland is delighted to announce that it has been appointed as sole adviser for Dyson’s global privacy mandate.
The appointment, which is for a three-year term, was won as a result of the strength and depth of Eversheds Sutherland’s privacy offering and the various specialisms across the team. The pitch process consisted of careful analysis by the client which allowed the global legal practice to demonstrate its reach and experience, approaching Dyson’s privacy work from both a country-specific and a global perspective across 82 jurisdictions.
The Eversheds Sutherland team was led by Partner Liz Fitzsimons, with support from Paula Barrett, Co-Lead of the Global Cybersecurity and Privacy Practice, Ros Kellaway, Head of Eversheds Sutherland’s Competition, EU and Trade Group, Partner James Hyde, Principal Associate James Ruane, Paralegal Tom Elliott, and the global privacy team, particularly in Shanghai, led by Partner Jack Cai.
Liz Fitzsimons commented:
“This appointment demonstrates the global offering of the privacy team and our experience across the world including Europe, China, Singapore and the Middle East. We look forward to strengthening our relationship with Dyson over the next three years and we are delighted to be appointed as sole advisers for Dyson’s global privacy work.”
Ian Gray, Executive Partner, Clients, commented:
“Clients continue to consolidate their legal providers, looking for law firms who can offer breadth and quality to support their businesses around the world. We were the first firm to deliver a sole adviser mandate successfully with Tyco in 2006, and we continue to innovate to give clients greater efficiency, whilst ensuring their businesses get excellent legal advice globally.”
Nicholas Cranfield, Global Legal Compliance and Ethics Director at Dyson said:
“When choosing a legal services provider to support our Global Privacy Team, we needed a firm that was able to provide a consistent, specialist approach to privacy globally. Liz and the team at Eversheds Sutherland fit the bill. We were impressed by the quality of their privacy offering as well as its international reach and the team’s deep local knowledge of privacy laws and regulations around the world.”
