  • United Kingdom

    13-11-2013

Global law firm Eversheds has been appointed as legal adviser to the Cell Therapy Catapult, a UK centre of excellence in cell therapy, following a competitive pitch process.

The Cell Therapy Catapult was established by the UK Government’s Technology Strategy Board in 2012 to grow the UK cell therapy industry by removing the barriers to translation of promising therapies and technologies into new products.

Eversheds’ appointment will cover all aspects of the Cell Therapy Catapult's operations including intellectual property and life sciences issues, procurement and State Aid, HR, corporate, real estate and construction.

Simon Crossley, partner and Head of IP, Health and Life Sciences at Eversheds, said:

“The UK is a global leader in cell therapy research and the Cell Therapy Catapult’s mission is to enable the evolution of that activity into a thriving industry. We have a strong team of life sciences sector lawyers and we’re delighted to be appointed as legal adviser to the Cell Therapy Catapult which is a central element of the UK’s life sciences strategy.”
