Eversheds Sutherland advises CyrusOne Inc. on its $15bn acquisition by KKR and Global Infrastructure Partners

    Eversheds Sutherland has advised US-based CyrusOne Inc., a global data center real estate investment trust, on its agreement to be acquired by KKR and Global Infrastructure Partners (GIP) in a $15bn all-cash transaction.

    CyrusOne specialises in the design, construction and operation of more than 50 high-performance data centers worldwide. The transaction is expected to close in in the second quarter of 2022, subject to satisfaction of customary closing conditions, including regulatory approvals and approval by CyrusOne stockholders.

    The Eversheds Sutherland team covered the European aspects of the transaction and was led by Munich-based corporate M&A Partner, Anthony Cross, with London-based client partner Simon Gamlin also closely involved.
