Eversheds Sutherland appointed to Government Rail Legal Services panel
- Global
26-06-2017
Eversheds Sutherland (International) has been named as one of the lead firms on the UK government’s new Rail Legal Services panel, following a procurement process managed by Crown Commercial Services (CCS) and sponsored by the Government Legal Department.
The firm has been appointed to Tier 1 of the panel which will involve the provision of legal advice on major, long-term transactions such as rail franchise competitions and other highly complex projects. The principal panel customer will be the Department for Transport.
This latest news follows Eversheds Sutherland’s recent appointment to the General Legal Services framework (also as a Tier 1 firm), advising on a broad range of legal issues.
Anne Harris, partner at Eversheds Sutherland (International), comments:
“Our appointment to the new panel is a great achievement for Eversheds Sutherland. It reflects our expertise in rail, our commitment to the sector and our highly valued relationship with government. We are particularly pleased to be appointed to Tier 1 of both the Rail Legal Services and General Legal Services Panels.”
Services falling within the scope of the new rail panel would previously have been provided under the terms of the CCS legal services framework that ran from February 2013 until the end of May 2021.
