Eversheds hosts UK Ports conference

  • United Kingdom

Law firm Eversheds has announced it will be hosting the 6th Annual UK Ports Conference.

The annual event, now in its 6th year, will discuss the challenges facing port owners and operators, and will provide essential updates on the policy and initiatives proposed by the European Commission and UK government.

Hosted at the Eversheds London office on 25 June 2014, delegates will hear from industry experts on how the market is valuing port assets both in the UK and globally and what shifts in market supply chains are occurring, as well as insight into investing in ports for the future.

Throughout the day there will be a series of speaker sessions and debates where topics such as the regulatory challenges for ports, logistic pressures and market trends and ports as drivers for growth will be also discussed.

Alison Oldfield, partner at Eversheds, will be talking about the issue of ports as public authorities; the shifting legal landscape and the practical implications for the way ports do business.

    Alison Oldfield commented:

“There are a number of issues facing anyone operating in the ports industryat present. It is a time of growth opportunity and of challenge. We look forward to exploring those issues and debating the future of ports with industry experts at this key note conference.”
