Eversheds comment: LSE move underlines strength and growth of African continent
- United Kingdom
- Africa
29-09-2014
Commenting on the news that the London Stock Exchange is attempting to increase the number of listings of African companies in the UK, Boris Martor, partner and Africa expert at law firm Eversheds, says:
"This attempt shows the strength and the growth of the African continent on the international scene and also the desire to investigate African financial markets for the future. Several of these African markets are little known although active and a number of African companies will be able to raise funds internationally. This trend will no doubt continue given the size of the continent and the number of players developing in the region."
