Eversheds comment: UK housing review needs to address profound housing delivery issues

  • United Kingdom
  • Global

On news that the biggest review into UK housing for more than a decade is being launched, Stuart Andrews, partner and head of planning at law firm Eversheds, comments:

“For many if you can’t afford to buy your own home the alternative is that you continue to rent until retirement age, stay with your partner, share with friends or move back in with your parents. The housing crisis is worsening and this review gives hope that it will finally address the profound issues which impact all of us, either directly or indirectly.”
