Eversheds comment: Autumn Statement: Time to make like Macmillan on housing
- Global
- United Kingdom
23-11-2016
Commenting on today's Autumn Statement, Bruce Dear, head of London real estate at Eversheds, says:
“The £1.4 billion into affordable housing is very welcome. But the chancellor should consider donning his hard hat and HiVis to build council housing. The UK’s eternal housing crisis is only ever solved when large scale council housing is deployed. It’s time to make like Macmillan and do it again.”
