Eversheds Sutherland (International) has announced senior management changes following the election of managing partner, Lee Ranson, as chief executive from 1 May.

Joining Lee on the executive team is Keith Froud as Eversheds Sutherland managing partner (International) and Ian Gray, executive partner, client strategy. Keith was formerly practice group head of company commercial and Ian was most recently international managing partner.

Keith will be responsible for practice groups and operations outside of the US and Ian will have specific responsibility for marketing, client strategy, business development and client service.

Completing the executive team is newly appointed finance director, Julian Lee.

Keith Froud will be succeeded as company commercial practice head by Keri Rees. Keri joined the firm in 1995 and is recognised as a leading corporate finance and M&A lawyer, leading relationships with key clients such as Rolls-Royce, BBA Aviation and Celesio.

There is a further change within the human resources group following Martin Warren’s decision to step down as practice group head after over ten years. Martin will continue to focus on his expanding portfolio of client relationships and related business development activities.

Martin will be succeeded by Diane Gilhooley. Diane joined the firm in 1999 and is a highly regarded employment law specialist with considerable experience in handling high profile cases and providing strategic employment advice. Diane is a partner in the HR and pensions practice and also currently heads the international education practice.

In addition, Debbie Jukes has been appointed as general counsel. Her role includes leading the risk and knowledge team alongside risk director, Claire Larbey. Debbie has been with the firm for over 25 years and, prior to this role, was a partner in the commercial team and latterly head of professional knowledge.

Finally, Judith Green joins as communications director. Judith has a long track record of communications strategy and management within the legal sector.

Managing partner and CEO-elect, Lee Ranson, comments:

“Welcome to Judith and congratulations to Keith, Ian, Julian, Keri and Diane on their promotions. I am delighted they have the opportunity to utilise their impressive drive, experience and client focus in broader roles and have every confidence they will be a great success. I would also like to take the opportunity to thank Martin Warren, who has achieved a decade of impressive progress and hands over a practice group in rude health."
