Eversheds Sutherland has today announced the opening of three new offices, extending its geographic footprint to 66 offices in 32 countries. The new offices are in Luxembourg, Moscow and St Petersburg.  Driven by client need and a commitment to strategic expansion in key jurisdictions, today’s announcement builds on the opening of the Dusseldorf office last month, the combination between legacy firms Eversheds and Sutherland and the launch of Eversheds Harry Elias in Singapore and Brunei Darussalam earlier this year.

Luxembourg  - joining the firm in due course in Luxembourg are Partners José Ignacio Pascual Gutiérrez and Viviane de Moreau d’Andoy and five associates. The office opens today, 6 September 2017, with an initial focus on investment funds and corporate clients.

José specialises in investment funds formation work, advising domestic and foreign clients on matters relating to the structuring, setting-up and organisation of all types of investment funds, with a special focus on alternative investment funds.  He also advises on corporate, transactional and regulatory issues relating to investment funds and portfolio managers.

Viviane advises an international range of clients (including service providers and fund managers) on all investment funds related matters, including the corporate and regulatory aspects of the structuring, creation and distribution of funds.

Moscow & St Petersburg – Eversheds Sutherland will shortly launch full-service offices in Moscow and St Petersburg. Led by Partner Victoria Goldman, the team consists of five partners and 17 lawyers with a 25 year track record in Russia. A full range of corporate law services will be offered, with a particular emphasis on real estate, litigation, corporate and M&A, and corporate crime & investigations advice.

Managing Partner Victoria Goldman has over 20 years of experience in corporate law and has successfully advised on numerous major investment projects and complex international transactions Victoria will be supported by partners Yury Pugach (real estate, litigation and dispute management), Luke Wochensky (litigation and dispute management, corporate crime and investigations), Anu Mattila (corporate and M&A), and Mikhail Timonov (corporate and M&A).

    Lee Ranson, Co-Chief Executive, commented:

“The strategic expansion of our global platform is a key element of our 2020 vision, and one which continues to gather real momentum. Luxembourg and Russia are both a natural fit for us in terms of our client base, practice strength and geography. I’m delighted to welcome the new teams to Eversheds Sutherland.”
