Eversheds Sutherland secures further UK Government mandate
- United Kingdom
05-12-2022
Eversheds Sutherland has been appointed to Crown Commercial Service’s (CSS) RM6240 Public Sector Legal Services panel
Eversheds Sutherland has strengthened its status as a key strategic adviser with its appointment to CSS’s RM6240 Legal Services Panel for the next four years.
This latest panel appointment continues the success of the firm’s sector strategy since the creation of its dedicated Governments & Infrastructure sector group in 2020.
Eversheds Sutherland will bring its UK experience to Lot 1 (a, b and c), Lot 2 (a, b and c) and Lot 3 (a, b and c) of the multi-supplier panel. This panel will provide a comprehensive range of commonly in demand legal services such as litigation, dispute resolution and corporate law as well as more specific legal services in certain specialisms, such as employment, property and construction, pensions and education, amongst others.
The panel is available to all approved UK public sector bodies and their associated bodies, including Health & Education, Local and Regional Government, Emergency Services and Third Sector organisations, Ministerial and Non Ministerial Central Government departments and their Arm’s Length Bodies and Agencies.
Mukhtiar Tanda, Partner and Head of Governments & Infrastructure, commented:
“This is an exciting time for the team here at Eversheds Sutherland and I am delighted that our longstanding relationship supporting public sector is going from strength to strength. We are achieving a core strategic aim for our firm by being appointed to Crown Commercial Service’s Legal Services Panel and enjoy working in unison with our legal teams continuing to advise high-profile projects.”
“We are looking forward to co-ordinating our experience across Eversheds Sutherland’s wide ranging public sector practice.”
The Public Sector Legal Services Framework (RM6240) will replace the current Wider Public Services (RM3788) agreement which expired in September 2022.
Earlier this year the firm was appointed to the CCS's RM6204 Rail Legal Services Panel and to Crown Commercial Service’s RM6179 Legal Services Panel - Lot 2, Finance and Complex Legal Services in December 2021.
The team involved in securing this mandate consisted of: Mukhtair Tanda, Partner and Head of Governments & Infrastructure, Partners Kuljeet Gill and Huw Jones, Nicolette Sanders, Legal Director as well as Chris Wilson, Pitch Manager and Annabelle Smith, Pricing Director.
