Synopsis
30 March 2018 saw the deadline for the publication of the first set of gender pay gap data for English educations institutions – with legislation having previously been introduced in Wales and Scotland.
This has resulted in increased scrutiny of the way institutions determine pay and what they are doing to narrow pay gaps. This will only increase further with the second round of gender pay gap reporting and the likely extension to ethnicity pay gaps.
In this session we will explore topics such as:
- lessons from the first round of gender pay gap reporting
- the latest position on ethnicity pay reporting
- what strategies can institutions adopt to close pay gaps, how does positive action fit into this and what has worked for you?
