Hydrogen - The Growing Potential in a Net Zero World

Who should attend

This event is aimed at lawyers, business and sustainability professionals who have an interest clean energy and various production methods.

Synopsis

Eversheds Sutherland and MUFG are co-hosting IPFA's breakfast event on 10th October 2019 with a focus on hydrogen. We would be delighted if you were able to join us.

Hydrogen, the most abundant element in the universe, has long been viewed as a potential clean energy source and a gamechanger for achieving a low carbon future. Nevertheless, to date the only viable production methods (steam cracking, electrolysis) have been expensive and have not addressed the carbon impact. Today, a number of companies are exploring the potential to produce hydrogen with wind energy or CCUS to mitigate GHG emissions. To date the projects have been small, but the technology could be scaled to provide a sustainable, low carbon fuel source with applications in a variety of sectors.

Rob McNabb, Partner at Eversheds Sutherland will be moderating the panel of experts from MUFG, ARUP, Equinor and REA.
