National Minimum Wage compliant? Look again - common NMW pitfalls for employers
Who should attend
This virtual training course is relevant to HR professionals, HR reward and payroll professionals, in-house lawyers, finance directors and controllers.
Synopsis
National minimum wage rates are rising year on year, increasing the potential pool of employers that fail to comply with the law if it's not tracked and applied rigorously. The HMRC's approach to enforcement is likely to become more proactive, following a period dominated by the pandemic.
Failing to comply with the Regulations has financial liabilities and penalties, but can also bring serious reputational risks. To avoid potentially hefty financial penalties it is important that you fully understand how this works. In this training session we will demystify these complex regulations and clarify who is entitled to what and how the calculations are made and errors corrected. We will explain how HMRC operates regarding enforcement and what to expect from recent and forthcoming changes when the rates rise on 1 April 2023. We will be highlighting potential banana skins and common pitfalls for employers to be aware of.
