Employment litigation webinar - Social media and group actions

Who should attend

HR professionals, particularly those with an interest in employment litigation and labour law.

In this webinar, we will cover: The potential impact group actions can have on businesses; the impact that social media has had, and continues to have, on group actions; and steps employers can take to protect their business interests.

Group actions can take many forms. They can involve a trade union balloting a group of employees who vote in favour of and take strike action; it could be a claim made by a group of employees of the same sex who believe they are not being paid fairly for work that is of equal value to that of their colleagues of the opposite sex; or it could even involve a group of self-employed individuals who believe they are workers or employees of a business. Irrespective of the form that the group action takes, there are some key considerations and a number of measures that employers can take in order to put themselves in the best position to protect their business interests.
