Brexit webinar: This deal, no deal, no Brexit – Parliament votes

Who should attend

Those with a Brexit interest.

Synopsis

We would like you to join us as we hold a webinar to provide an update on what the result of Parliament’s vote means in practice, and where we go from here.

As you may have read, or heard, Mrs May has today announced the delay of the Parliamentary Vote on the UK’s Brexit deal, which was due to take place on 11th December 2019.

Due to the postponement of the Parliamentary vote, we are in turn delaying the webinar and we will come back to you as soon as we have a new date.

On 11th December 2018, after five days of debate in the House of Commons, MPs will vote whether to approve, or vote down, the Brexit deal put before them by Mrs May. This is the most crucial point to date on the Brexit timeline. As the EU has already outlined, the failure of this deal in Parliament leaves the UK with the options of a no deal and a hard Brexit or no Brexit. If it passes, then the Government can introduce the European Union (Withdrawal Agreement) Bill, giving domestic legal effect to the Withdrawal agreement.

Given the significance of the vote on the implications for your business, and your Brexit contingency planning, we would like you to join us as we hold a webinar to provide an update on what the result of Parliament’s vote means in practice, and where we go from here. Hosted by Eversheds Sutherland’s head of Brexit, Ros Kellaway, we will also discuss the implications for business and trade with the UK and within the EU.

Joining instructions will be sent in advance of the webinar
