The wind of change - Whistleblowing in the financial services sector

Who should attend

This event is aimed at legal, compliance and HR professionals in the financial services sector.

Culture and governance remain a key priority for the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA). Effective whistleblowing arrangements that encourage employees to speak up and ensure that their concerns are handled appropriately are vital for a firm to demonstrate that it has a healthy culture. At the same time, according to some sources, the continuing impact of the Covid-19 pandemic and the introduction of hybrid working patterns has led to a significant increase in whistleblowing reports.

We have teamed up with Safecall, a leading whistleblowing hotline provider, to explore the latest legal and regulatory developments and trends in whistleblowing in the financial services sector. We would be delighted if you could join us on Wednesday, 14 September in the Eversheds Sutherland London office.

Discussion topics include:

  • an update on recent case law and legislative developments (including implementation of the EU Whistleblowing Directive)
  • the regulatory outlook
  • the key whistleblowing trends in 2022 according to Safecall's benchmarking report based on data spanning more than 100 countries

We hope you can join us.

  • Simon Collins, Managing Director - Financial Services Regulatory Compliance, Konexo
