Mediation in employment disputes
Who should attend
This course will give HR professionals the opportunity to develop their organisations internal mediation capabilities either upskilling themselves or giving them the knowledge and approach to upskill others to do the same.
Synopsis
The course will focus on mediation know-how, what it is, when it might be appropriate and develop attendees confidence in managing mediations in-house in a simple, pragmatic and focussed way. The programme is supported by our mediation handbook which gives you everything you need to get started or enhance your current practice.
Programme
This engaging and practical course is split over two x 3 hour morning sessions on 1 November & 2 November 2023
Start: 09:30 (UK Time)
The course programme will include:
- identify the potential causes and effects of workplace conflict
- describe the wider context of disputes at work including its impact on wider cultural development
- learn how to better manage your own reaction and chose your response when emotions run high
- apply a staged mediation process to a practical conflict scenario
- develop your know-how, competencies, confidence and personal approach; and
- anticipate and deal with challenges along the way
