Eversheds Sutherland Estonia advised sale of Plumbr

  • Estonia

We advised the shareholders of Plumbr, an Estonia-based application performance monitoring (APM) company offering auto-instrumentation, Real User Monitoring and deep application performance insights for enterprise applications, in the sale of the company to Splunk Inc., a US-headquartered global provider of the Data-to-Everything Platform.

“I am proud of the work Plumbr has accomplished over the past nine years in building a dynamic APM platform,” said Priit Potter, CEO and Co-Founder of Plumbr. “Technical talent is incredibly difficult to find, and Plumbr is beaming with some of the brightest minds in DevOps. We’re looking forward to diving in with the Splunk team and helping the company expand its vision to bring data to everything.”

"It is remarkable that the transaction was carried out virtually, from the beginning to the end, without ever physically meeting each other," says Maivi Ots, who led the transaction counselling. Priit Potter adds: "We felt confident, because we worked with a law firm that has helped us since establishing the company and whom we have always been able to rely on, even in complex situations."

Eversheds Sutherland advised the client at all stages of the sale, from the initial negotiations to the conclusion of the transaction. Eversheds Sutherland's team included Managing Partner Maivi Ots, Partner Risto Rüütel, Senior Associate Dmitri Zdobnõh, Associate Taavi Kõiv from the Tallinn office and partner Michael Voynich from the Atlanta office in the US.
