With cyber attacks against global corporations increasing in severity and complexity, and with new regulations coming online, it is becoming increasingly important that senior management, and those who advise them, understand the security, regulatory and legal risks across jurisdictions. It is also critical that they know what to do about them.
Please join us for a dedicated interactive event to update participants on what needs to be done, when, and discuss best practices in Poland and internationally.
For this session:
Eversheds Sutherland’s Poland and US lawyers will facilitate an interactive discussion based on a simulated cyber-attack against a global corporation with presence in the CEE region and covering multiple jurisdictions around the world. Participants will discuss the crisis and formulate a response, with guidance from Eversheds Sutherland lawyers who have unique experience in this area, both in government and in the private sector.
The panel will be lead and moderated by our US partner Michael Bahar, Co-Lead of the Global Cybersecurity and Data Privacy practice. He will be joined by Paweł Lipski, Co-Lead of the TMT practice in the Warsaw office.
They will seek to address in-depth cybersecurity and data privacy aspects, such as:
· Advance planning
· Crisis management
· Cyber insurance
· Breach litigation
· And potential criminal proceedings
Michael currently counsels multinational corporations on all aspects and all phases of cybersecurity and data privacy, and he is former Deputy Legal Advisor to the National Security Council at the White House, former Staff Director and General Counsel to the U.S. House of Representatives intelligence oversight committee, and former Active Duty Navy JAG, with service at the Pentagon and overseas.
Paweł specializes in technology law. He handles matters of Internet law and data protection. Paweł advised on breach notifications procedures for clients in various jurisdictions. He has also represented clients in 20+ criminal cases against hackers.
