First Nationwide Forum: Achievements So Far and the Future of Public-Private Partnerships in Poland

The 1st Nationwide Forum will be held on 25 October 2012 at the Faculty of Theology of the University of Silesia in Katowice.

There are two lecture sessions planned for the conference, with a total of 8 lectures, as well as panel discussions in which all of the attendees will participate. The speakers will address the following issues:

  • Synergies from combining the capabilities of a public entity with the financing and efficiency of a private partner
  • Allocation of roles and risks between the parties
  • Practical experiences in the field of public-private partnerships, based on specific examples.

The forum is designed for everyone involved in shaping the PPP market in Poland, public and private, as well as consulting firms, law firms, financial institutions and NGOs.

Our law firm will be represented by Tomasz Korczyński, an attorney at law specializing in PPP projects. During his lecture, entitled “Polish Legal and Institutional Conditions for PPP Projects: Practical Issues,” he will discuss:

  • The Public-Private Partnership Act of 2008—law and practice
  • Amendments to the PPP Act so far and proposals for further changes
  • The PPP Act and other legal regulations.
