Roadmap for Public-Private Partnership Projects

A conference entitled “Public-Private Partnership: Roadmap for Establishing and Implementing Development Projects Using the PPP Approach” will be held on 15 April 2013 at the Hotel Angelo in Katowice. The event is organized by Wolters Kluwer Polska.

The purpose of the conference is to promote public-private partnership as a form of cooperation between the public and private sectors which can not only improve the effective delivery of public services but also achieve savings in expenditures of public funds, which may be redeployed to achieve other public purposes while providing private investors a guaranteed cash flow from public sources.

The issues addressed at the conference will include:

  • Analysis of the legal situation and government support system for PPP in Poland
  • Financial analysis of PPP projects
  • Allocation of risks between the partners carrying out projects using the PPP approach
  • Rules for classification of PPP obligations and expenditures in local government budgets.

The conference is designed for mayors, province marshals, heads of local communes, and directors of investment, finance, procurement and legal departments.

Our law firm will be represented at the event by attorney at law Tomasz Korczyński, who specializes in public-private partnership. He will give a presentation on the most common legal issues that arise when implementing PPP projects.
