3rd Forum on IT Management of Universities

The 3rd Forum on IT Management of Universities will be held on 9–10 October 2013 at the palace in Żelechów. The event is organized by Centrum Promocji Informatyki.

The conference will cover issues of:

  • Integrated systems for management of universities and IT security in university IT systems
  • Use of e-learning systems, social media and mobile technologies in university operations
  • Protection of intellectual property rights at universities.

Our law firm will be represented at the event by attorney at law Tomasz Zalewski, who heads the firm’s intellectual property and e-business teams. During his presentation, entitled “Copyright levies: Compensation of authors for permitted use,” he will discuss:

  • The nature of copyright levies
  • EU and Polish regulations on copyright levies
  • Disputed issues concerning charging of copyright levies
  • Current trends and problems concerning copyright levies.
