Changes in the Power Industry 2014

The 8th edition of the “Changes in the Power Industry” conference will be held on 4 March 2014 at the Polonia Palace Hotel in Warsaw. The organizer is Adventure Consulting.

The event will cover key legal and regulatory changes affecting the power industry, including:

  • New rules for production and support of energy from renewable sources
  • New regulations and rules for support of cogeneration
  • New obligations arising from implementation of the Industrial Emissions Directive.

Our law firm will be represented by attorney at law Łukasz Jankowski, head of the Energy practice, who will give a presentation entitled “The new support mechanism for renewables and the vested rights of investors,” in which he will discuss the following issues:

  • The new model for financing renewable energy sources and how it relates to the vested rights of existing investors
  • The auction system, reference price, and tenders for purchase of energy from renewables
  • The Renewable Energy Clearance Operator (OREO) and clearance procedures
  • Existing renewables facilities and the new support model.
