Technological Innovations for Websites and Legal Conditions for E-Services
The 14th seminar in the Applied IT series, devoted to technological innovations for websites and legal conditions for e-services, will be held on 12 March 2014 in Warsaw. The organizer of the seminar is Centrum Promocji Informatyki.
The event will cover such issues as:
- Legal aspects of concluding contracts concerning computer applications, including content management services on websites
- Building the brand of an online service on social media
- Technology and the future of cookies in practice.
Our law firm will be represented at the seminar by Wiktor Rainka, a lawyer from the intellectual property and e-business teams, who will give a presentation on the terms and conditions of online shops, in which he will discuss:
- The legal construction of the terms and conditions of online shops
- Issues of amending the terms and conditions
- Provisions on amendment of the terms and conditions as an abusive clause under case law from the Court of Competition and Consumer Protection
- The ability to amend the terms and conditions of a site when it does not include a provision on amendments
- Consequences of unlawful amendments to terms and conditions.
