Changes in the Energy Sector 2015

A conference entitled “Changes in the Energy Sector 2015” will be held on 4 March 2015 at the Hotel Sofitel Victoria Warsaw. The event is organized by Adventure Consulting.

The conference will cover such issues as:

The new climate package in the context of the future of the Polish industrial power sector

  • New rules for sale, import and licences for trading in coal
  • New obligations of energy companies under the EU’s Regulation on Wholesale Energy
  • Market Integrity and Transparency (REMIT).

Our law firm will be represented at the conference by attorney at law Łukasz Jankowski, dr. Aleksandra Kunkiel-Kryńska and Milena Kazanowska-Kędzierska, who will present the following issues:

  • Licences issued by the President of the Energy Regulatory Office for trading in bituminous coal—rules and conditions for issuance, security, liability of licensees, and penalties under the amended Energy Law
  • Influence of the amended act on consumers’ contractual rights and the possibility of withdrawing from an existing contract with a utility company.
