  • Amendments to the Personal Data Protection Act
  • New status of information security administrator
  • Processing of personal data for marketing purposes

  • Examples and consequences of violation of data security obligations

Dr Arwid Mednis, the partner in charge of the Privacy, Information and Communication Technologies team and the Electronic Communications team at Wierzbowski Eversheds, will give a presentation entitled “Legal grounds for data protection in corporations, holding companies and capital groups.” He will discuss such issues as transfer of personal data to international companies and cross-border circulation of data, including transfer of data to third countries under the Personal Data Protection Act. He will also discuss obligations connected with the recruitment and hiring process, sharing data within capital groups, monitoring of employees, and oversight by the Inspector General for Personal Data Protection.

The workshop is designed for representatives of capital groups, in particular information security administrators, persons responsible for data protection, and staff of legal and compliance departments.
