On 13 October The British Embassy will hold a conference entitled “Personalised medicine and molecular diagnostics: cornerstones of modern oncology”. Wierzbowski Eversheds and AstraZeneca are partners of this event.

Best Practice in Poland: Integrating Molecular Diagnostics into Clinical Practice
The aim of this half-day event at the British Embassy is to present UK best practice in the area of personalised medicine, and to discuss how to implement such solutions into Polish oncology. The conference will show how the perception of oncological therapy is changing, and will identify the key challenges that healthcare faces due to the change. Effective introduction of molecular diagnostics and goal-oriented therapy do not only mean modern technology transfer but, above all, they require systemic solutions to integrated approach toward patient and therapeutic decisions.
One of the invited speakers are Marta Gadomska-Gołąb, senior associate, head of Life Sciences at Wierzbowski Eversheds, and Gerard Karp, partner, head of TMT at Wierzbowski Eversheds. They will give a presentation entitled “Personalised Medicine and molecular diagnostics – legal perspective and Big Data”.
Guests of honour during the conference will be Prof. Rory Shaw, medical director at Healthcare UK and Dr Wojciech Niedźwiedź from Weatherall Institute of Molecular Medicine, Oxford University, who will share UK’s experience in the field of personalised medicine.
This event will be of particular interest to representatives of the public sector, institutions responsible for ensuring safe therapy, healthcare providers, patients' organisations, representatives of pharmaceutical and health technology companies.
