We are a partner of a series of conferences „Safe Hospital of the Future”  

I International Forum on Personalised Medicine 
The First International Forum on Personalised Medicine will take place on the 2 March 2016 in Warsaw. It is the first project of this magnitude that will gather in one place and time representatives of medical science, pharmaceutical industry, manufacturers of diagnostic equipment, professional and regional associations, as well as politicians and scientists who are interested in the development of personalised medicine in Poland and across the world. The event will be attended by Marta Goląb Gadomska and Gerard Karp.

Discussed issues will include, among others:
• the place of personalised medicine in the development of medical sciences
• personalised medicine in clinical practice
• interdisciplinarity in personalised medicine
• ethical conditions and legal environment for the functioning of personalised medicine
• financial and organisational challenges for the health care system using the personalised medicine solutions. 

The last item of the forum will be the declaration of the Polish Coalition of Personalised Medicine. The document will be presented by prof. Jacek Fijuth, Chairman of the Polish Society of Oncology. Wierzbowski Eversheds is a founding member of the Coalition.

During the forum the book "Personalised Medicine. Myths, facts, recommendation", edited by Adam Fronczak, will have its premiere. The authors of the chapter "Legal Environment for personalised medicine - chosen aspects" are Marta Gadomska-Gołąb and Gerard Karp.

Event is organised by the Institute for Health Protection, Employers Union of Innovative Pharmaceutical Companies - INFARMA and the Association for Good Clinical Trials Practice in Poland - GCPpl

Honorary patron of the forum is the Health Ministry.

On Thursday, 28 April, the first regional conference of the "Safe Hospital of the Future" was held in Warsaw. Marta Gadomska-Gołąb, head of life sciences team at Wierzbowski Eversheds, appeared among the panellists.

A series of conferences addressed to the management of hospitals is dedicated to the subject of patient safety in terms of adverse events, hospital director liability associated with it, and practical ways to improve the quality of services and minimise risk. A special place in the conference sessions will be dedicated to addressing ways to detect and prevent errors in the field of pharmacology, treatments and infections. Participants will learn about the current opportunities on raising funds for the development of the hospital as well as investment.

All-day conferences will take place:

  • 28.04.2016 in Warsaw 
  • 12.05.2016 in Gdańsk 
  • 19.05.2016 in Kraków 
  • 2.06.2016 in Poznań 

Marta Gadomska-Gołąb during each conference will lead the session entitled: Practical aspects of acquiring and running clinical trial by hospitals, which will begin with the introduction devoted to the legal aspects of the role of the hospital in a clinical trial:

  • clinical trials in hospitals - practical problems of research centres: the responsibility of the research centre
  • funding of clinical trials, including the financing of medical procedures performed for patients – participants of the trials 
  • access to medical records and the monitoring of the clinical trial

This session will be attended also by: Martyna Przewoźnik - President of the Monitor CR, Roman Radomski – Vice President of the Polish Chamber of Healthcare IT and a management representative of one of the hospitals.

The organiser of the series of four regional conferences "Safe Hospital of the Future" is the consulting firm IDEA Trade, known ,among others, as the publisher of "Ranking of Hospitals."

The substantive partners are the Polish Association of Insurance Medicine, Foundation Institute of Infection Prevention, Polish Union of Specialist Hospitals, Association of Healthcare Hygiene and Wierzbowski Eversheds.
