A debate within the II edition of the "Smart City" programme
On 16 January 2017 a debate within the II edition of the nationwide "Smart City" programme will be held in Katowice. It will be a "round table" meeting, devoted to the idea of smart cities. Dr. Arwid Mednis was invited to participate and Wierzbowski Eversheds is a partner of this event.
The main objective of smart cities is to use modern technologies to a better, more efficient and environmentally friendly management of services and urban infrastructure.
The patronage of the programme "Smart City II" was assumed by: the Mayor of Katowice, the Ministry of Digitisation, the Association of Polish Cities, the Union of Polish Metropolises, the Polish Information Processing Society, the Polish Chamber of Digital Broadcasting, the Institute of Urban Development, the Institute of Innovative Technologies EMAG and the Smart Power Grids Poland Consortium.
The round table will be attended by: the Deputy Mayor of Katowice, the management of the Municipal Office in Katowice, as well as a group of experts selected by The Keryx Group, the organiser of the event. Subsequent debates within the II edition of the "Smart City" will be held in February in Rzeszów, Kielce and Szczecin.
