Wierzbowski Eversheds, exclusive legal advisor to the Polish government during the preparation of Poland’s bid for the 2012 UEFA European Championship.

Wierzbowski Eversheds was the Polish government’s exclusive legal advisor and project co-ordinator during the preparation of the Polish-Ukrainian bid for the 2012 UEFA European championships. A team of lawyers from our firm, headed up by Adriana Bronikowska, Michał Kurzyński and Krzysztof Wierzbowski, were supported by our London colleagues Neil Logan Green, Jonathan Cripps and Rebecca Carter, who shared with us their experiences of working on large-scale sports projects. In our work on the bid we were also supported by PricewaterhouseCoopers experts Aleksander Domaradzki and Sebastian Gościniarek.

Commenting, Krzysztof Wierzbowski said: "We are proud of our role in this project, which opens up a raft of opportunities for Poland and Ukraine. At a time when everybody is celebrating this success, knowing that we belong to a small group of enthusiasts who believed in it from the very outset, gives us all the more reason to be satisfied".
