Marta Gadomska-Gołąb is a partner co-heading the Commercial practice at Eversheds Sutherland Wierzbowski

She specializes in regulatory issues related to product safety and civil matters related to product distribution, with a particular emphasis on consumer relations. She also deals with pharmaceutical law, food law, product liability and advertising law. Due to her special interest in clinical trials and R&D in the health sector, she is involved in numerous initiatives related to the development of new technologies in medicine, advising medical startups among other clients.

She has 13 years of experience providing legal advice to businesses in the pharmaceutical, food, FMCG, household appliances and audio/video devices, clothing and furniture industries, evaluating activities and advertising campaigns on issues of unfair competition,  unfair market practices, and intellectual property rights. She has extensive experience in advertising of regulated products, with a particular focus on medicinal products, pharmacies, foods for particular nutritional uses, alcohol and tobacco. She assists clients in product labeling and presentation, compliance with sectoral and REACH requirements, and distribution agreements and distribution models at all levels of marketing. She has extensive experience negotiating and drafting clinical trial agreements, developing clinical trial procedures and informed consent forms, and handling research funding issues.
Before joining the firm, she gained experience at an international law firm and was seconded to a major innovative pharmaceutical company.

Marta is a founding member of the Polish Coalition for Personalized Medicine and a member of the Polish Chamber of Healthcare IT. In 2018 she was appointed as mediator and conciliator at the Center for Amicable Resolution of Food Disputes.

She is recommended by prestigious legal directories in the Life Sciences field.

Marta is a graduate of the University of Warsaw, where she completed the course of study in US law offered in conjunction with the University of Florida Levin College of Law, and a postgraduate course in intellectual property. She is a lecturer in postgraduate studies on clinical trials at Jagiellonian University. She is working on her doctoral dissertation on patient consent and the law of clinical trials.

  • Advising a manufacturer of home furnishings on product safety and advertising
  • Advising one of the world's largest producers of general merchandise on product safety, including applications to the Office of Competition and Consumer Protection and product recall
  • Advising clothing companies on labeling of products offered online
  • Advising an innovative software vendor on remote monitoring of clinical trials, involving development of a legal concept for product operation and agreements with contractors
