Experience
Paweł Lasota is an attorney at law with the labor law team at Wierzbowski Eversheds Sutherland.
He specializes in individual and collective labor law. His experience covers projects related to establishing and terminating employment contracts, non-competition agreements and preparing internal employment regulations (e.g. work rules, pay rules, internal policies and social benefit fund bylaws). He has advised on matters related to group layoffs, including preparation of rules for layoffs, notifications to the labor office, and determining selection criteria for dismissal. He has represented clients in labor law litigation. He has participated in various legal due diligence analyses.
He is a co-creator of the employment blog Kodeks w pracy.
He completed the program of the American Law Center offered by the Faculty of Law and Administration at the University of Warsaw in conjunction with the University of Florida.
Recent projects
- Advising an international automotive company on employment and compliance matters related to a cross-border merger and maintenance of the status of a separate employer in several locations of the Polish branch for purposes of tax and social security obligations
- Advising a leading car rental company on matters related to election of employee representatives and works council
- Preparing a comprehensive set of employment-related template documents (employment contracts, relocation agreements, etc.) for use by the Polish subsidiary of an international electronics company
