Zofia Piekarczyk is an attorney at law on the Consumer, Regulatory & Life Sciences team at Wierzbowski Eversheds Sutherland. 

She specializes in competition and consumer law. She also has expertise in state aid, product safety law, advertising law and European Union law. 

Before joining Wierzbowski Eversheds Sutherland she worked at the Office of Competition and Consumer Protection (UOKiK) and leading Polish and international law firms. At UOKiK she conducted administrative proceedings (investigations, antimonopoly proceedings, and proceedings on infringement of the collective interests of consumers) and represented the president of UOKiK in court proceedings.

Zofia assists clients in issues regarding the compliance of their market activities and business strategies with competition law and consumer law. Her experience includes advising clients from sectors such as e-commerce, energy, finance, insurance, telecommunications, pharmaceuticals, transport and FMCG. She has assisted and represented clients in antimonopoly proceedings and proceedings on infringement of the collective interests of consumers before the president of UOKiK and in court proceedings in cases against the president of UOKiK. She has conducted competition compliance audits and taken part in UOKiK inspections (dawn raids). She has also advised clients on issues of unfair exploitation of contractual advantage. 

She has advised clients on issues of state aid, e.g. concerning Poland’s bank tax and retail tax. 

She is a member of the Polish Competition Law Association.

Zofia completed an LL.M. in international and comparative business law at London Metropolitan University and postgraduate studies on state aid at the Warsaw School of Economics.
