Broadcasting and media in Austria

In the second half of the 90s, Austria finally gave up its broadcasting monopoly and admitted private radio and terrestrial television. A varied broadcasting scene has since developed. Representatives at Eversheds Austria were amongst the pioneers of the new legislation on broadcasting.

These days Eversheds Austria represents private broadcasting corporations in all their business activities, including the formation of the company, the granting of licences with the Communication Authority, advertising customers and collecting societies. We have an outstanding network of personal contacts in broadcasting which benefits our clients in this area.

Eversheds Austria also represents numerous foreign and domestic media enterprises in the fields of print, online and music.
