Attorney-at-Law Tapio Väätäinen has been invited as Partner of Eversheds Attorneys Ltd. as of 1 July 2021. He will be co-heading our Dispute Resolution practice group with Attorney-at-Law Niina Rosenlund.

Tapio has 25 years of experience in demanding assignments related to competition law and dispute resolution as well as insolvency law. He has received international recognition in, for example, the Chambers Global & Europe and Legal500 listings. In 2018, he was chosen as the winner of the International Law Office’s Client Choice Awards in the Litigation category in Finland. Tapio has accrued extensive experience as an Attorney-at-Law in different law firms and in heading dispute resolution groups. He is transferring to our company from another law firm specialising in business law.

I am very excited to be able to join Niina in developing the Dispute Resolution group of one of Finland’s most international law firms. According to my observations, arbitration proceedings in particular involve international connections to an increasing extent, posing challenges which a network of 70 offices in over 35 countries is well able to meet with its broad-based competence”, Tapio Väätäinen says.

We are extremely pleased to welcome Tapio as a new member of our Dispute Resolution team. Tapio’s diverse expertise and background are an important success factor for both us and our clients. We will be able to advise and assist our clients even better in demanding negotiations and disputes”, says Jari Salminen.

Tapio is a highly experienced and versatile litigator, and we are delighted that he is joining us in developing our practice group, which focuses on civil and criminal cases”, says Niina Rosenlund.
