  • Germany

Eversheds Sutherland has advised Johnson Matthey on  a strategic partnership with Enapter AG, a German stock corporation listed on the regulated market of the Frankfurt Stock Exchange that is a pioneer and commercial leader in AEM electrolysis. AEM is a next generation electrolyser technology that aims at driving down the cost of green hydrogen towards a commercial use competitive with fossil fuels.

Johnson Matthey has invested approximately EUR 20 million as part of the current capital increase of Enapter. In addition, Enapter and Johnson Matthey agreed on a strategic cooperation in the field of catalysts and membrane development.
