Eversheds Sutherland further expands its Dusseldorf practice and continues to develop its service portfolio in the area of public law: In January 2021, Dr. Philipp Büsch joins the real estate practice group as Counsel with focus on the energy and infrastructure sector. Before joining Eversheds Sutherland, he worked for Clifford Chance.

Philipp advises national and international clients on all questions of public law, in particular concerning planning and environmental law. He specialises in advising companies in regulated markets and has many years of experience in the energy and infrastructure sector.

In the past, he already liaised on energy and infrastructure transactions with Dusseldorf Partners Dr. Werner Brickwedde (corporate/M&A) and Dr. Martin Weitenberg (energy law) who also came from Clifford Chance.

Marc Schwencke, Partner in the real estate practice group and Co-Head of Eversheds Sutherland's Dusseldorf office, says: "Since we opened our office in this important German business location, there has been a continuous increase in the demand for regulatory advice, specifically in the areas of construction, real estate and public law. We are therefore delighted to welcome Philipp to our team and to be able to strategically develop our service portfolio together with him."

"The Eversheds Sutherland office is a rising star on the Dusseldorf market", adds Philipp. "I am therefore looking forward to continuing this success story together with my colleagues in Dusseldorf as well as in our other locations worldwide."

With Philipp, 20 lawyers now work for Eversheds Sutherland in Dusseldorf, among them six Partners, four Counsel and two Of Counsel. Further growth is planned for the office.
