Overview of our construction law expertise in Germany
The Eversheds construction team in Germany is based in our offices in Berlin, Dusseldorf, Hamburg and Munich, and advises both our national and international clients on a wide variety of construction projects. Many of our lawyers are certified specialists in construction and architects law and also act as permanent speakers at a range of training courses and workshops dealing with issues regarding for example the VOB/B and FIDIC. Our primary objective is the optimum protection and realisation of your interests in a construction project. We have extensive experience in accompanying projects and support you to meet your requirements with regards to costs, quality and time for completion for your construction projects. Whichever stage your project is in: we are at your side with legal know-how, creative ideas, efficiency and cost effectiveness.
We advise project developers, private and public sector clients as well as contractors in all walks of the industry, project managers, architects and engineers in all aspects of private and public construction and real estate law. Our assistance ranges from project development, public procurement, legal project management during the construction phase, legal assistance regarding claim management, including the enforcement or warding off of claims for compensation / defects to legal representation in civil and administrative courts as well as in arbitration proceedings. Our team manages construction projects of all shapes or sizes. We render advice related to large-scale development projects, turnkey and plant construction, infrastructure projects, residential projects as well as commercial buildings. This also includes construction measures carried out in connection with ongoing asset management and building maintenance.

- Ongoing advice for large-scale residential projects (Berlin, Dresden, Munich)
- Advice regarding construction and reconstruction of hospital buildings (e.g. Klinikum Karlsruhe, Hospital Freising, Hospital Sonthofen)
- Advice to several non-profit organisations in relation to development and construction of several special-care homes and retirement homes
- Advice to portfolio managers on all kinds of property management and real estate litigation matters
- Advice to several national as well as international companies related to construction, fittings and maintenance of their premises in Germany
- Advice to representatives of several industries (e.g. petrochemical, waste, automotive) in relation to construction and engineering matters on their plants in Germany
