Eversheds Sutherland deepens tax expertise with two top-tier hires

Global top 10 law firm, Eversheds Sutherland is pleased to announce the appointment of two new senior hires to its Dublin office.

Tim Kiely has joined the firm as Partner and Melissa Daly has joined as Senior Associate. Both have joined the firm’s growing tax practice and will work alongside Alan Connell and his team, and the financial services sector team.

Tim Kiely joined from industry, most recently at BNP Paribas where he was Head of Tax in Ireland for over three years. He also worked in-house at Ark Life and in practice at EY, where he spent time heading up their Irish Financial Services Tax Desk in New York. Tim has over 15 years’ tax experience and has advised some of the leading financial institutions in the world. He advises on all aspects of the financial services sector and corporate tax, with a particular emphasis on financing, domestic and international investment, supply chain management, cross border tax issues, operational taxes, restructuring, and acquisitions.

Melissa Daly joined from McCann FitzGerald, where she practised for six years. Melissa has experience in advising on corporate and financial services tax matters with a particular focus on tax issues relevant to financial institutions and on structuring financial services transactions including banking operations, structured finance and securitisation vehicles, investment funds and asset managers, pension funds and tax disputes.
