Eversheds Sutherland are delighted to be participating in the 2021 Wind Energy Ireland Annual Conference which takes place from 13 - 15 April.

The overall theme of the conference is ‘No. 1 by 2025 - Ireland's Number 1 Power Source by 2025’. Under Ireland’s interim climate targets, renewable electricity in Ireland needs to be at 52% by 2025, predominantly made up of wind energy. Throughout the conference, expert speakers will highlight how critical the next five years are to achieving this goal, along with Ireland’s 70% renewable target by 2030 and longer term zero carbon targets for 2050.

Our specialist speakers will be hosting a 'Meet the Expert' slot from 2-3 pm on Thursday, 15 April at the virtual event, giving legal analysis and updates on the Marine Area Planning Bill, offshore consenting experiences from the UK, the Clean Energy Package and the Renewable Electricity Support Scheme. Audience members will also have an opportunity to put questions to our panel towards the end of the session.
