We were delighted to assist Gresham House Capital, the UK based specialist alternative investment manager in respect of their acquisition subject to conditions of Appian Asset Management Limited, an Irish based assets manager. The acquisition is subject to the approval of the Central Bank of Ireland.
This transaction was Gresham’s first acquisition in the asset management sector here in Ireland. Our involvement on this exciting transaction built on our work with them when advising on their acquisition, along with Axa, of certain forestry assets in Ireland last year.
We worked alongside our Eversheds Sutherland LLP colleagues led by James Trevis, Partner, Corporate and James Bridges, Principal Associate, Corporate during this transaction. The transaction again demonstrated our unrivalled ability to work seamlessly with our Eversheds Sutherland international colleagues to ensure that our global clients can obtain seamless assistance when carrying out time-urgent transactions in and through Ireland.
Our team was led here by Gavin O’Flaherty, Partner, Corporate and Enda Newton, Partner, Corporate together with Tim Kiely, Partner, Tax Niall Pilkington, Solicitor, Tax. Other team members included Deborah Hutton, Partner, Investment Funds, Sean Ryan, Partner, Competition, David McKeating, Associate, Pension & Regulatory Fiona O’Regan, Solicitor, Corporate, Julie Galbraith, Partner, Employment Maria Gallagher, Solicitor, Employment Maria O’Brien, Senior Associate, Corporate Michael Twomey, Associate, Litigation and Yvonne Tyndall, Senior Associate, Real Estate.
