22-05-2020
Living and working in Northern Ireland in the midst of the Covid-19 crisis presents a conundrum of challenges for everyone. Today’s business leaders need to consider a number of different legal issues when contemplating what tomorrow’s workplaces will look like.
As such, we will be releasing a series of webinars 'Back to the future of work – beyond lock down in Northern Ireland' which will help guide employers as they take steps to continue to adapt their operations, seek to future proof ways of working and consider what shape and size their ‘new normal’ business will take.
The first webinar in the series, 'Reopening workplaces: the Executive’s Pathway to Recovery document and returning to work safely', took place on Wednesday 20 May at 1pm. Lisa Bryson, Employment Partner, was joined by Matthew Howse, Dispute Resolution & Litigation Partner, for a discussion on the employment, health & safety and privacy law issues that businesses face as they endeavour to operate safely and plan to re-open their physical workplaces.
Topics of discussion included:
- The HSENI guidance
- The Executive’s ‘Pathway to Recovery’ document
- Practical challenges such as transport, childcare and vulnerable employees
