Webinar - New ways of working: Beyond lockdown in Northern Ireland - Adapting the workplace and changing terms and conditions of employment

  • Northern Ireland

04-06-2020

Clear leadership, trust and careful planning will all play a vital role in this critical next phase of COVID-19. It is clear from the ‘Pathway to Recovery’ document published by the Executive that any approach to a return to work in Northern Ireland will be incremental, not immediate, and will be conditional upon a continued decline of the pandemic. As we all transition to new ways of living and working, positive and creative thinking will be required by businesses to assess whether they can provide safe working conditions for their staff, as and when they seek to reopen.

The third webinar in our 'Back to the future of work – beyond lockdown in Northern Ireland' series is called 'New ways of working - Adapting the workplace and changing terms and conditions of employment'. The webinar will took place on Wednesday 3 June.

Lisa Bryson, Partner in our Employment Group, discusses the options for businesses considering introducing either temporary or permanent changes in the workplace. With topics of discussion including:

• Collective issues connected to changing contractual terms

• What options are there in relation to accrual of holiday

• Can an employer insist that an employee return to the workplace

• How to manage a ‘half-in; half-out’ approach.
