The annual Eversheds Sutherland Employment Law Conference took place on Wednesday 26 May as a virtual online event. We are pleased to make the full event recordings available now for those that couldn't attend. You may access them below.

The past year has sparked the realisation that the pandemic may permanently change the way we live and work. Since day one, our Employment Law Unit has been advising employers across the island of Ireland, and further afield, on what these developments mean for their businesses. In our seminar, as well as doing our annual review of the year, our professionals share their unique insights on the major issues facing employers today, including:

  • The return to the workplace
  • Vaccinations, testing and other issues
  • Tax and employment implications of employees living outside of Ireland
  • Health and safety considerations
Our speakers included our Employment Law Unit from Ireland and Northern Ireland, as well as Tim Kiely from our Tax team, Alice O’Dwyer, VP, Cook Group Europe, HR, and Mary Paula Guinness BL.

Mock WRC Remote Hearing

As well as reviewing key topics, we ran a mock Workplace Relations Commission (WRC) remote hearing as part of this event. We were also joined by expert Barrister, Mary-Paula Guinness BL, for this interactive session.
