Commercial Litigation

Commercial litigation concerns proceedings in state court to resolve commercial disputes. This encompasses a great variety of disputes, including compensation of damages caused by breach of contract or tort and conclusion, specific performance, rescission or nullification of contracts. Proceedings on the merits are frequently preceded by urgent relief proceedings (kort geding) and ex parte freezing orders (conservatoir beslag).

The Eversheds Sutherland team has considerable experience in litigation and advocacy before Dutch courts, often concerning complex and international disputes. We represent clients from a number of business sectors and industries, including construction and engineering, energy, international trade, insurance and banking and finance.
