Legal Compass: Q&A - Potential employment issues related to the Covid-19 under Swiss Law

    Globally, at the beginning of March 2020, over 89,000 people are confirmed to have been infected with the new coronavirus (Covid-19). Of those, 3,045 are known to have died, 113 outside of mainland China.

    In Switzerland, according to the Federal Office of Public Health (FOPH), as of 1 March 2020 24 persons have been tested positive for the new coronavirus. All those infected have been isolated. Infections have been reported from the Cantons of Aargau, Basel Land, Basel Stadt, Berne, Fribourg, Geneva, Graubünden, Ticino, Vaud, Valais and Zurich.
